    R.I.P. James Marshall

R.I.P. Jim. I really dig your amps and the history behind them. Father of Loud couldn't be more fitting!!

    RIP Bob Welch

And let's not forget Sentimental Lady. Great track. I liked it better when he re-did it after "The Mac." Thanks Bob!! You will be missed!!

Which Fulltone pedal? OCD or Octafuzz

BOTH!! I have both and they are two different pedals. IMO, the OCD is the best three knob overdrive unit in the market, and the Octafuzz gets a nice mixture of the '69 and '70 fuzzes with the Octave Up switch. I love the octave up sounds. They sound great on the neck pickup with the tone...

What album are you listening to?

Johnny Cash - Live at Folsum Prison Rory Gallagher - Rory Gallagher, Live in Europe, Against the Grain Johnny Cash....what more needs to be said about him that hasn't been said. The man was a legend and totally original. IMO, Rory Gallagher was a very underrated guitar player. Just as...

    Ebay Tubes..

I agree with Dom. BNB Tubes are a quality seller. Great customer service and shipping too. I have bought from them several times.

What album are you listening to?

Alright, has anyone heard Frank Zappa / Mothers of Invention - Freak Out? That has to be one of the most off the wall recordings I have ever heard. Correct me if I am wrong, but one of the years listed on the CD was 1966. Really?? They were doing that in '66? They all must have been...

    the new Axl Rose...?

Axl just joins a long line of others who have gone downhill after the glitz and glam wore off. Too bad really. To me, after Use Your Illusion I & II, that was it. Steve Adler is doing so well himself. You can catch him on Celebrity Rehab.

    What is your favorite modulation

Thought I would resurrect this topic. I love all types of modulation and notice them in many different songs. The only pedal I do not own is a good vibe pedal. I have a DIY Phaser/Vibe pedal that gives me a vibe if I want, but I can get my Maxon CS-9 Pro Stereo Chorus to sound like a really...

Need info on a Thomas organ wah

I was looking through some old topics and I saw this one. I know it is a year, plus, since the post but I have both kinds of wah pedals and would post some pictures if you needed them for reference.

    Valve Art EL84s

Nice. Glad to hear they are working well. Turning up the bass knob should help make up for the loss of bottom end. Rock on!!

    Ken's Summer Sale

Ken, The tubes sound great. I put them in my Egnater Rebel 20, which had EL-84 hardness 3's in it, and the EL-84 7's and EH 12 ax7's are a bigg improvement on the tone of the amp. Thanks again for the great shipping and easy transaction!

    Marshall Class 5

You need to slow down son. I'm entitled to my opinion without being called ignorant. Anyway....thanks for making my point again. "Dumb as hell" = cheaper and "small in wattage" = smaller. If you want to compare, the Class 5 is cheaper and smaller than a Vintage Modern combo.

    Marshall Class 5

Don't forget about the price point also. Because it is a cheaper, smaller amp, the manufacturer will not put as much into the parts. They need to make a profit. Now if you are Mesa, then you will get a product like the TransAtlantic.

    Valve Art EL84s

I have not used the EL-84's. I have used the KT66's and the GZ34. If the quality/construction of the tube is consistent....it's a great tube. They are very clear sounding tubes with good harmonics. Can't find too many of them though. I would hold on to them.

    Last laugh?

    That would work too!
