I just picked up R-17433. It's a rev C+. TM on the front logo. No brackets or active loop lettering. Hopefully this adds to your info! Let me know if there any other specifics I can gather off the amp.

Swapping them would probably help. It certainly wouldn't do any harm.

I'm not an amp genius by any means, but it is interesting how little some guitar players know about their gear. I see a lot of people calling all 2-channels "pre-500" and of course everyone has a "very rare" or "hard to find" piece of gear.

Have you checked the wires going into the reverb pan? Maybe on of them came out/loose during shipping and is not all the way connected?

Your amp is probably close to 20 years old at this point. That seems to be about the time they need a little TLC, new caps and such. That may explain some of the muddiness.

Yeah me too. I have been boogieless for the last year or so. Just got some gear sold off and ordered a MV and cab monday. Glad to see I was just in time to save 200 bucks!

I was looking at sweetwater this morning and it looks like mesa decided to increase prices this year. I think last year they didn't change at all.
