Has anyone played/owned one of these ? If so, how does it play and does it have a baseballbat neck, a very thick one.

Thanks

Geiri

Yeah I've read real good stuff about these.

Do you know how much the 150 and 157 cost.

Less than a comparable Gibson with higher quality, and an almost infinite amount of custom build options.

To find out more information, visit the Heritage Owners Club at http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums, Wolfe Guitars (Heritage's largest dealer) at http://wolfeguitarscom.nxg.superpageshosting.com/, and the manufacturer Heritage Guitar at http://www.heritageguitar.com/indexf.html.

If you are looking for a good LP shaped guitar of higher quality, check out the PRS SC245.Gibson scaled in a single cut body, or if you want the traditional PRS scale, look into the SC250. Both play as good as they look. Building quality is amazing as well. Great investment that would last a long time.

Go try out some Gibson VOS LP's specifically 57, 58, and the 59 - Custom shop models.

Brilliant guitars, if you are going to spend serious money, get something worthwhile.

Some good suggestions here! Hard to go wrong with the Heritage thang. Dollar for dollar tough to beat for value when you look at the way they are made. They use the traditional nitrocullose lacquer rather than the more common polyurethane finish too. Do look at the links Thundersteel provided. Besides going the factory custom brand new route, there are always nice ones out there on the 'bay, a decent h150cm Les Paul type goes for around 1100-ish used give or take a couple hundy. Have noticed that the Heritage Forum members treat each other nicely like on this forum, some good deals can be had from those folks as well.

I started with a 335-ish but better built 555 with seth lovers a few years ago, now am up to owning 4 various Heritage Guitars. Two are Millenniums, like LP's but they are chambered and lighter. They play amazingly well, more variety in the tone palettes they serve up than a LP. One Heritage I have is sorta like a Gretsch, H516 with the Bigsby and TVJones PU's in transparent orange finish. Simply wonderful instruments.

I agree on da heritage thing. I've done some research and an heritage is way better bang for the buck then gibson. But a strange thing has happened since I started this thread.

I traded my les paul studio for a music man axis super sport and cured my guitar gas. Now the question is, what should I get my self for my 40th birthday.

Better build quality, cheaper, 24 frets, one with a Floyd Rose, better neck joint, stronger and thinner neck.

I got a Heritage H157 used for $1,400.00 and it is my favorite guitar. Every LP from Gibson that I looked at was either way overpriced or had some type of finish/set up flaw. Some of the Custom Shop stuff is nice but for $4,000.00 + it should have a motor and drive you around.
