Yea! Got my Recto 2X12 today

Thanks Dave. Has more bass thump than the Bugera 4X12, but on the downside it has that V30 mid range cut. The Bugera is smoother but a little muffeled. A little treble adjusting should tame the V30's on the Mesa.. nice to have both.

Hi TP. I noticed you're in Columbus. I'm in Toledo so I was looking through some of your other posts to see if you had posted anything for sale that I might be interested in since we're not that far apart. Anyway, in your Gibson SG thread back in June the guitar is pictured in front of a Mesa 2x12 cab.... but yet you have this thread about just getting one, so I couldn't help but wonder if you sold that one but missed it and got another one, or if that pic was taken at a friend's house, or what. Just curious.

In my Recto cab the Vintage 30's took FOREVER to fully break in and warm up, but rest assured it will happen!

Sold the SG. I had a Mesa 2X12 cab that I sold to help fund a Shiva last month. Went to get the Shiva and it was gone. So I was ampless. Then found a Solo head and needed a cab to hold me over till i got another Mesa cab. So I bought a cheap Bugera 4X12 new for like $240! Found the Mesa last week and it got delivered today. What a freakin' whirlwind!

Ok, thanks for the info. I'm looking for a deal on a Mesa 2x12 myself, just haven't come across one yet.

Mid Ohio Music has a tweed one used here in Columbus. I just couldn't deal with the tweed.....this ain't no Fender I'm playing!.

Looks really nice. Do you remember how much they were asking for the tweed one you mentioned? Was it a black tolex cab with a different grill, or was the cab different too?

I threw my MXR 10 band eq in the loop and tamed the harshness of the V30's....sounds thick and smooth now.
