My wife took too weeks off from work and suggested we hit some yard sales in the area . Okay, sometimes I'll find some old tube gear ,and nab it for next to nothing .
So we cruised by this y.s. and I saw an old Magnavox console stereo (tuner/ Pnono combo . Cool . Found out her dad bought it years ago , rarely played it and gave it to her . Too big for the house , blah blah ,
If you want it , take it , she says . It's raining .
I get it home , pull the back off and find a tri amp situation , all tubes .
5 12ax7 Mullards .
6 black plate 6v6 motorolas .
And various other stuff ,( open "vibrasonic" ) tank ...
Everything looks mint . turntable belt is shot and the The speaker cones were eaten by G.K.W ., But its got the makin's of a ,Killler amp for my son or two .. Some times ya luck out .
The moral : Sure babe , I LOVE YARD SALES .
