Xotic BB Preamp or Fulltone OCD w/your Mesa

I also push the front end of my Recto and Lonstar Classic. I have a TS-9, SD-1 and DS-1, all modded. I have been mulling over a different pedal for a few weeks now and am torn between the Xotic BB Preamp and the Fulltone OCD. From playing in the store the OCD sounded very harmonically rich but was a little noisey. The BB sounded great too, more transparent and was quieter when engaged.

Anybody own both of these?

Can't comment on the Xotic but I won't play my Dual Rec without my OCD.

I second that - if I could only keep one pedal, it'd be the Fulltone OCD.

Currently, I'm using a BB, as well as modified TS9, BD2 and OD3s. The BB is a great pedal and works very well with my DC-5.

To my ear, the DC-5 has a lot of inherent midrange so I tend to use a pedal that doesn't have too much of a pronounced hump in that area.

I have an OCD and I purchase after years of thinking that I would not have to buy another distortion pedal. I also purchased the fulltone fulldrive 2. Great pedals.
