Thinkin bout picking up a BB or BB+, but can not play with one in person- anyone here check one out with the Dyne? They play nice together?

Thats an interesting question because I have both. IMO the sounds I like from the Dyne are very similar to the sounds of the BB Plus. Its almost like the difference between the two channels of the BB Plus itself. I bought the BB to push the ED to get a little more gain which it does perfectly but the more I play the ED the less I think I need the additional gain.

I think they are excellent products both of which I will keep ! I use the BB with my other amps to get an ED sound but the gain channels of the ED are hard to improve on.

Anyone got a demo of the BB or BB+ with the Dyne?....you guys have peaked my curiosity….and My GAS …

The bb is an excellent pedal, worth every penny and will add another channel to your clean sound or give you a really nice boost or some nice crunchy sounds or even some more saturation for your lead channel... I recommend it but not as much as an Octron(octave distortion)

I had about 10 minutes with it last night after getting her on the board- 2 things-
1- it is a very creamy pedal- voiced very much like the Dyne which is awesome
2- it is very "active" and "responsive"- again, like the Dyne- very dynamic....
I have rehearsal tonite, plus tomorrow Xmas service- I will get a chance to play with the completed 2010 pedalboard!.......news to follow......

Sounds like a winner so far! It is a very amp-dependent piece of gear. Like I said, it sounded AWESOME with the Stiletto Deuce I had briefly, but sounds not as good through my Mark V.

The OCD pedal I just got sounds much better with the V...

After 1 rehearsal- the jury is still out- here is the low-down-
1- Killer voicing on both sides, very amp like- far more than any other dirt pedal I have owned.
2- Powerful and active EQ capability
3- superior build quality and nice footprint
4- excellent boost for a lower gain channel, but adds a little too "much" for rhythm playing (could be also that I really like my Maxon OD808- its one piece I have never parted with- easily my most tenured pedal...). I really don't want anything other than the straight-up sound of the Hi Gain/Lo Gain channel with just a touch of front end goose- the BB is very similar to the Dynes voice- kind of wasted on a Dyne player if you know what i mean...if I had a roadster or stiletto still, I would cement it to the board, but what it does is kind of like the dyne itself....
So, I will again run it tomorrow- then maybe turn it into a RC Booster, or of course, maybe not....either way, it is a killer piece of kit (thanks Adam)! Time will tell.....anyone play an RC Booster????

I think the BB mimics whatever amp it is plugged into - sort of. It's very transparent so it takes your amp and adds another gain stage to it.

I tried an AC Booster before i got the BB+ and HATED it! I sold it the very next day. I thought it sounded terrible no matter what setting. Never tried the RC. I'm happy with the OCD for now. Would love to try a Maxon though.

I did the first night that I got my Electra Dyne. I am going to revisit the RC now that I have gotten to know the amp a little better (and swapped a few tubes). 8) I traded a speaker cab for a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and some cash. It has a "clean boost" mode as well as a seperate solo boost button. :D

Starting to get to know the BB...its a real good pedal....I have it dialed for a seperate boost for low and high gain modes- clean channel alone is the greatest thing Mesa has ever done- can't improve on perfect...keeping the OD808 on board too- so far, I think this is the best board I have ever played, let alone own.....loving this....
