I have an Xv-500, and I have to say....its worth the price. On the surface, its a well finished instrument, but you can tell a few corners have been cut just below the surface. The pickup cavities and access plates aren't nicely cut. I did have to take mine to a local luthier for a little fret work....$100, but other than that, it sounds and looks like a guitar that should cost twice as much. Even the luthier said (after I called my guitar a crappy chinese guitar) that he's been pretty impressed with the few he has seen.
