Hello everyone! New to the boards but NOT new to Mesa. I currently have a Nomad 100 Long Head(4 years old, in flight case since out of box) and 2x12 Recto cab, 1980 Les Paul Custom Silverburst, and a PRS Custom 22.
I REALLY want a SERIES 1 Recto amp(the tone that made me fall for Mesa). Preferrably a Tremoverb but I'm not picky. Not looking for mint condish either. Here's what I'm lookin for:
Single Recto head
Dual recto head
Recto-verb
TREM-O-VERB(head or combo)
Here's the part where you say "this guy MUST be nuts"...if there's any Road king owners that wanna trade for my Nomad....HAHA...didn't think so! but just in case someone just HAS to have the discontinued 100watt head...I'm game(of course)you all can stop laughin now!hahaha
I'm not lookin for a studio queen(already have a Red Bear MK120 head for that). I need a live rig...so the head can DEFINATELY be beat up..as long as she works great!
My dad has taken over my Nomad(he makes it sound better than me...he usually hauls 2 mint 60's Fender Supers and a 4x12 and the Nomad...he's 61. I convinced him to buy a Mesa Classic 2x12 to save trouble...and another hernia and leave the Supers to collect value) and he's gonna help me put something in it's place so money IS an issue therefore I prefer some wear.
I hope someone can help. I'm open to just about anything.....but the Recto must be the first series...the new ones sound like poo to me...they lack that presence that the first series has(to me). Get with me SOMEONE!haha
thanks for the read,
Matt McGuyer
