I have a custom Roadster head. Below is the link to the thread. Hope that helps.

Here's mine. Again, not nearly as "green" as the flash makes it look. It's at Boogie now for the update and also getting the leather handle and chrome top vent added (as I initially ordered).

Awesome amplifier.

thanks.. thats the one i was looking for..

sec.. that thing is sweet!

you can send it to boogie for the update? i have still yet to do it :(

if you dont mind me asking..

how much extra was the custom options?

I didn't have to send mine back for the update because it shipped from Boogie after the service advisory (the service advisory goes from VR-00001 to VR-00669, my serial number is VR-00671).

The custom options on my Roadster cost $150. They said it wasn't a standard option for a full diamond plate front with the vents, but they did it anyway. I definitely appreciate the fact that they did that for me!

I never knew that they could do such great custom jobs like that. It would take years to get a custom order like that to Australia, not to mention a lot of $$$ as well.

My Roadster serial number is 00202 :)

Ciao ...

My custom options were around $200, if I remember correctly. I did the green croco front panel, chrome top and front vents, leather handle, and green jewel light.

And yes, you can send your amp to Boogie for the update, but you will save time if you just have it done locally, in most cases. Mine went back since they had to replace the handle and top vent, so they are just going to update it there.

if i sent mine in.. would they be able to change the front grille on it?

or it has to be built with it?

i want one of those grilles like on the roadking, only beige..

then change the one on the cab to beige also

No. Once it's built you are SOL.

Mesa quoted me close to 400 dollars for a new shell with VERY basic changes for my Dual Rec. It's honestly been my one gripe with the company thus far.

ehh.. its cool..

im more than fine with the roadster looks.. it was just an idea i had

But one of the cool things about Mesa is that you even have that option. Think of how many countless other companies don't even offer variance in specification to any degree. Gotta love that you can get it almost any way you want, albeit at a price.

I totally agree. You have to pay the price, but wow, look what you end up with!

Ciao ...

Hey there scottkahn, got a question for you. I was admiring your Road King and was wondering if you had to ask Mesa to put the black piping on there or if it came like that automatically?

I just got my Road King II v2 head and RK 4x12 cabinet in cocoa bronco w/tan grille. There's piping on the cabinet but not the head.

By the way, how do you guys upload pictures to the site? Just wanted to post my new amp!
