which tubes for a studio 22+

hey all!

just bought a s/h mesa/boogie studio 22+ its lovely!!!
but its not had new tubes in at least 10 years....

can anyone advise me what to get? im in the uk and wanna use eurotubes.com - any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you're in the UK, speak to Derek at Watford Valves. Eurotubes only sell JJs, Watford Valves sell nearly everything and Derek will hand pick any type of valve to work in your Boogie.


ps, Svetlana Winged C 6L6s if you want modern or JAN Philips 6L6GCs or Sylvania 6L6GCs if you want NOS.

Your preamp valves are probably ok even after 10 years. There are so many choices there, I'd go with NOS mullards if you want the best.

Uh, a Studio .22+ uses EL 84's.
