Which JJ E34L's for Single Rectifier?

Hi guys,

I want to try a pair of JJ E34L's in my Single Rectifier but don't know which pair to buy. JJ's matched pairs are rated 44 46 etc.. and I don't know what number will safely work in my amp as it has a fixed bias with a 6L6/EL34 switch at the back. Any info you can help me out with is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The boys at tubedepot or Dougs can't help you on that? Just got a shoe box of tubes for my MKV and Single Rec Series 2 from TubeDepot. They knew the numbers for the fixed biasing. Call 'em up.

44 and 46 is way too high for a Mesa. You need in the 25-35 range for best results. Check your PMs!
