I'm about to get a mesa thiele and it will be unloaded. I'm in the market for a EVM 12L. There is one I see which is a 300 watt? Is that a good one? Or should I look for the black shadow one, which is 200 watts? ANy help? Thanks

Yo good choice! The 300watt version might be the proline version. The black shadow is Mesa's quality tested version. Either is a good choice. There are several 12L's on the bay right now. Search EV under pro audio category to find some cool old ones with the nifty heat sink over the magnet. Good Luck you'll love your theile.

My late 84' IIC+ Imbuya Combo and my 1X12 Thiele both came with OEM 200 Watt 12L's. Neither has the Black Shadow Sticker. My MK IV has the 200 Watt EV 12L from 1993 and it has the Black Shadow sticker. Oddly, my early 84' tolex IIC+ combo has the 12L Black Shadow and an early serial number on the sticker.

Go figure.
