where to buy rack ears for mesa?

Hey all,
new boogie member awaiting my newly bought quad 8)

so i tried to find somewhere to buy suitable rack ears for it but me cant find

Anyone here know?

Mine already came with rack ears and the original footswitch, the FU-2 one. Man whoever came up with that name is a GENIUS!

But, if you can't find em, you could probly make em yourself. Shouldn't be too hard. You just need some pretty tough steel, take some messurements and drill three holes in it.

regerding that drilling-bending type of thing... im not that great at that sorta things, prolly will end up with a totally useless thing if i tried that

In that case, you COULD just go to some workshop, bring the quad and your rack and tell the guy: I want THIS to fit into THIS. He'll take the messurements and build it for you.
Though it's a bit strange that whoever sold you the quad, didn't give you the rack mounts. You should talk to that guy about it.

Rack ears tend to get destroyed if the unit sees a lot of use. My Studio Preamp that I got off ebay had no rack ears, probably because they were bent beyond repair and were removed.

However all I did was call Mesa and order some more! Yes, they haven't made this amp in over 15 years, but they still make rack ears for the Studio. Chances are they still make em for the Quad too. Just call their main number and ask to be transferred to replacement parts.

The ears for my studio cost $26 including shipping. I didn't need to do any drilling or welding either. They just screw on.
