Hey guys,
I just got my single recto solo 50 2 days ago. I'm totally newbie for mesa/boogie amp here. I've always used marshall in the past years. This is totally different beast!! :D

My setting at the moment:
clean channel:
output: 8 o'clock
volume: 3
bass: 2 o clock
treble: 1 o clock
mid: 11 o clock
gain: 7 oclock

distortion:
output: 8 oclock
volume: 0.5 (even less coz i i'm at home)
bass: 2 oclock
treble: 1 oclock
mid: 11 oclock
gain: 12 oclock

What's yours?

RK II

ch3
master 9
presence 8
bass 1030
mid off ( )
treble almost maxed
gain 230

mxr wylde overdrive in loop and mxr 108 in loop with an inverse v shape

gmajor

TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM YOURS GUYS haha :D

One thing i notice with my recto is that the clean is great!! and the distortion is what i have always loved!! and yeah the solo button is like an add on but its great too.

I use my maxon ROD880 to tighten up my sound thats it...

ch2 is all i really use

master output 8:30
gain max
presence max
channel master 1:30
bass 10:30
mids 4
treble 5:30

with a ts9dx out front, and maximizer in the loop with a 31band eq

i run alot of mids and treble on the amp cause i can control it on the loop eq and by using the maximizer so no its not all toothpicks and harsh mids. and i dont need much bass dialed in either with the vector sl. pretty much anything as far as eq has 2-3 controls that will each sculpt the sound slightly so theres alot of control and plenty of gain :D so yeah im guessin my settings prob wont sound too good on a mesa without all the gear

Used to have great settings about a year ago, now I just took it in for service (2 new EL's and a new Celestion speaker that was out) and my RKII now sounds like the dreaded mythical bass Rectumfryer it is. Does the speaker take some breaking in?

putput 12 oclock, channel vol 12 oclock, bass:10.30-11 treble: 1 oclock;
prescence:11 oclock, mid 11 oclock, gain 1 oclock and I boost it with a maxon overdrive gain:0 vol:maxed and ton 12 oclock.
metal tight tone!!!!!!

I just loaded KT-77's into my Rectoverb tonight and went with
Modern mode
output 9:00
Solo boost (on) 10:00
master 11:00
presence 10:00
bass 9:00
mids 10:00
treble 12:30
gain 1:30
modded sd-1 in front level almost dimed gain on zero tone at about 11:00
I got a nice tight chunky tone with my Carvin 7 string with these tonight.
So far I'm liking the Kt-77's

When you retube to KT-77, what is the position of the selector tube? is it 6l6 or el34 ?

Thanks
