thanks!

Different speakers....Black shadows vs. Celestion Vintage 30's.....the newer one with the cloth grill is also slightly larger I believe, making it more emphasizing on bass. The first still has a huge bass though, which is slightly tighter.

think its worth $250?? Im running a dual recto thru a mesa 1960 jcm 900, but it would be cool to have options

your talking about $250.00 for the metal grill 80's Mesa cab? ****,unless it's totally beat to **** and missing speakers, you got a deal there. I paid $325.00 for mine and it didnt have the top back panel with it. I made my own. The metal grill cab is really small compaired to even a Marshall1960 style cab,BUT,it's really deep on the bottom...even more so than a newer Recto cab. Plus,it sounds alot tighter, not as boomy as a Recto:notice the speakers are 'front" mounted. But then again,it's not real "Recto cab deep" sounding either.
Let me know if you scored it.
Peace,

Makoblink,
Unless my eyes decive me,that metal grill cab looks to have Mesa E.V. speakers...the voice coils look huge. If thats the case, the speakers are worhty of $100 to $150 a piece. Does it have the top back pannel off? Also I'd pull the bottom pannel off and see whats in there as well.
