Guys,

Still loving my new ED!

Just wondering what the breakin period is on this thing? I think once the speakers have loosened up a little it will sound even better.

Has anyone reached that point yet? How long would you say it takes?

Thanks

If you want to speed up the Breaking in of the speakers you could put some music through the cabinet and leave it on over night. It doesn't have to be too loud, but just enough to get the cones moving. Eminence says they use a 20hz noise signal and let it run for a few hours at a medium volume, nothing too crazy that would hurt the speaker, but enough to get it moving.

The easiest way is to turn it up and play clean. Clean signals have more of a spread than a more compressed one does, so playing a Clean signal up loud for a while will snap that speaker into shape in no time!

Here's what Eminence has to say about it: http://www.eminence-speaker.com/faqs/faq23.asp

If you send it to me I will break it in for you and send it back when it is just right.
