I was tinkering with the thought of trading my IV for a Marshall JVM 4 channel, but was wondering if I should hang on to my IV for a while and plug into it in a few months and see if I fall in love with it again. What say ye?

I'd go for it, I am not a big JVM fan, but it would mix up the tones your rig could provide. And down the road if you wanted the IV again, you could pick one up for not too much

I have both a MkV and a JVM410H, and while I've not running them together side-by-side yet, I love them both. I don't have any experience with the MkIV, but I tend to hold on to my older amps out of nostalgia...I have an aging TSL 100 head which I'll likely never part with.

However, I would trade my Engl SE for a Road King II.

Def. do it. The JVM is a great amp with a ton of great tones and the programmable FS is awesome.
