What tubes do you suggest for my.......

Single Rect Series 1 Solo 50 head? Eurotubes has package deals. Bought it used with no idea on the age of the tubes, but they are def. old tubes. It is the 6l6 only no way to switch to el34's. Looking for smooth gain.

The JJ packages are ok. Id check out http://www.dougstubes.com/

They have many options for you and can fine tune a package to fit your specific needs.
Might recommend the TAD's or the SED =C='s

I second what droptrd said...Doug is a cool cat...The winged C's are amazing for sure...For preamp tubes, I like the combination of a Mesa SPXA7, Tung-Sol reissue, Mullard reissue, and RCA...Let us know what works for you.
