Ok, so the only thing that the Roadster has on the Mark V (for me anyway) is the Recto chug.

Is there an OD or Boost pedal that I can use to get the massive thump that a Recto has out of the Mark V??????

I use a BB preamp, smoothens everything up and gives a really nice boost. YOu don't really need extra gain when it comes to this amp.

I struggled with this exact tone search a few months ago. Posted many times and got LOTS of replies from the forum here. Most replies advised in respectful opinions that I was chasing my own tail on this. In the end I had to agree that the V won't do a Rectifier to my ears. I could not find a pedal that did it. There are lots of close but no cigar type units for sale that I tried at two Guitar Centers. They didn't cut it for me. I bough a used Single REC Series 2. It provides that chug only a REAL Rectifier can give. It also sounds incredible to run the V alongside the REC. I am guessing that if you are demanding enough to get a V, you probably won't be satisfied with a pedal imitation for your Rec tone.

REC + V = mind blowing tones

I use a Boss GE-7 (7 band equalizer pedal) in the loop. It gives it a nice kick. I can also set it so I get more fizz if I want it. They can be had for $40-$60 on Ebay. Do it.
