what kind of boogie is this? an A or B?
if the emblem says boogie is that a tell tale sign?

That is a 'B' model.

The loop jacks on the 'A' will be a square.. the B will have the L design to it.

Isn't the detachable chord a bit of a give-away, even though there are a few A's with detachable, and a few B's will non-detachable?

You can also tell by the cabinet material.

The 'B' Models have that smoother, 'black taunus (or taurus) vinyl'.

The A's used to have that grainier, plastic looking vinyl.

Not always. My 94 B has A vinyl.
