What does bump mean? (dont know where this belongs)

im new to forum-ing so yeah if anyone could just lemme know what bump means that would be appreciated..and if there are other forum "words" then yeah..if u could lemme know..those would be appreciated as well

usually refers to a topic that hasnt been in action for a little while, ie: when someone is selling something and it may not get noticed a few days or so later they will just post "bump" to bump it up to the most recent post so that more people will see it.
