What 12AX7 combos are you using for CRUSHING METAL TONES?

So I was just jamming and swapping out 12AX7's in different positions. Triple Rec with Ruby EL34's , bold / diode settings

Right now I have a total of (5) Sovtek LPS
(3) JJ EC83S
(1) Unbranded Chinese

So far I have found my favorite to be a Sovtek sandwich with JJ's being the bread.

V1- JJ
V2- Sovtek
V3- Sovtek
V4- Sovtek
V5- JJ

Just wondered what everyone else is using.

I have heard good things about the Electro-Harmonix as well as Tung-sol

I really felt that the JJ's brought out some clarity and added some richer harmonic tones.

Can't wait to get some stuff recorded and post for you to listen.

Most aggressive combo I've rolled to date:

V1 - EH 12AX7
V2 - Shuguang 12AX7B (the B version has more gain and lower noise than the standard A)
V3 - Shuguang 12AX7B
V4 - Shuguang 12AX7B
V5 - JJECC83s Gold Pin

Tight, way saturated and nice bite, attack like a pack of wolves. I've stuck with this so far. :mrgreen:
