I'm not complaining everyday, search on my username and tell me I'm a liar. My dealer told me March. I thought cool, my daughter will be born in May and I'll have all of April to play the Mark V. Now it's almost JUNE, NO AMP, and i have a 3 week old which takes up most of my time. I'm wondering if i should even bother at this point.

I'm not referring to you, just saying everyone in general. I've seen some pretty crazy comments on boards in general (not only this one), so I'm just saying it won't make it come any faster.

FWIW, I have a 2 week old at home right now. Hope you're getting more sleep than me... :mrgreen:

Don't sweat it too much Dan. I've got 4 kids at home and if the Mark IV is any indication of how good the V will sound at bedroom volumes then you will have no worries. All of the home recording I did was while the kids and my wife slept. My wife never complained about the volume, ever. When I had the Spalwn Quick Rod for 3 weeks I got 8 complaints about the volume. In fact, my wife said several times "I never used to hear you play at night until you got this new amp". Hang tight. I'm getting quite irritated too but I know that if I pull the trigger on something else and the V is released I will be kicking myself. I don't want to go through the hassle of buying something to tide me over, sell it and ship it when the Mark V gets here.

Looking forward to hearing what you do with yours. You've got killer chops (some of the best on any boards I visit) and make great clips.

I have a 5.5 month old boy. I haven't slept "normal" for 5.5 months and have little free hobby time. But I like to practice once in a while and miss my band Marshall half-stack days. In fact I need to sell my Marshall EL34 dual monobloc one day.

I'm currently boogie-less but am interested in the Mark V for a variety of reasons (although I don't like the lack of class A/B only and lack of pent/triod in channels 1 & 2). Fathers can wait forever, trust me...

I'm just venting 8) Boogie shouldn't have put the amp on their website if they knew it wouldn't be out till June, or possibly July which i wouldn't doubt at this point.

And it's been rough since I'm borrowing my friends F-100. AGh, either this amp has some bum tubes or it's just a fizzy mushy mess, just an aweful sounding amp.

Get your money back and get another amp (if you can), why pay the heavy price of being an early adopter?

The only "real" benefit is bragging on message boards which means nothing in the end anyway.

In a few years time they should be readily available on the used market and get the early production kinks worked out if there are any.

The biggest load of crap to me is this-people who ordered in Jan. and don't have their head but some people who ordered in March do have one. Put the fukking orders in a que and send them out in the order they came in.

In the meantime, I,m trying to see when Blackstar is shipping their new Series 100 amps. That was an amp on my top 3 list to try since last year. If I can get ahold of one to check out before this latest, "3 to 4 weeks" for the Mark, and I like it, then that,s it for me!

Either those heads start to ship before then, or I,m off of this crazy, indefinate waiting train.
