i wonder if anyone in the past has run into warranty issues w/ their mesa amps (particularly the mark series) switching from a combo to a head (or vice versa) where the cabinet/shell being switched to was not a mesa-manufactured item.

the reason i ask is cause i recently (last month sometime?) converted to a headshell from miyako designs. will post pics eventually.

anyway, i know mesa's policies are "at mesa's sole discretion" so i'm wondering if this is an issue. the amp has not had to be modified and i'm really only wondering because i'd prefer not to keep the combo cab cause i'll be moving soon and i'm concerned that if i sell it then have an issue mesa might not let me even take it in for service (even if it's just a tube replacement issue or something innocuous like that). thoughts?

Keep the original I would say man.Hell if they're so hardcore about the tubes what do you think they would say about a new housing no? Considering they didnt make it and all...lol.Just my 2.

I think their policy is if you mod or change anything in their products the warranty is void.

that's very vague.

Actually, if he's right, that's very precise.

well yes, but what is "anything"--i didn't "mod" anything. i removed it and put it into another shell. does that constitute a mod? not trying to be a *******. i just want to make sure that i'm not doing anything dreadfully wrong according to mesa.
