Want more liquidy-ness. Should I mod my red stripe III DRG or get a studio preamp?

Newbie here, what is DRG?

My new red stripe combo has near infinite sustain, very liquid.

For whatever it is worth if Boogie would magically pay for shipping and bench time to put my MKIII Lead mode back to spec I would. What Mike B. did made the tone darker which I have to compensate for by using the Pull Bright which recovers some high content, but it too bright without dialing back tone on guitars. Based on what I described to him he should have modded the Presence instead of or least along with the Lead mod. He should know that is more in line with the MKIIC+ (provides a more versatile range for varied musical styles, stock is very 90s Metal unless turned way down).

I've seen "DRG" as indicating Simul-Class. If you have a switch to go to 15 watts (Class A) of 60 watts (I recall as Class A/B) then that's Simul-Class.

D = Simul-Class (mixing pseudo Class A 15W with Class A/B for a total of 75W)
H = 100/60W switchable Class A/B
S = Sixty watt A/B

R = Reverb

G = Graphic EQ
