Dude, you guys rock, and the MkII sounds awesome in that mix. I liked the whole thing - composition, execution, mix. And the production - straight ahead, nothing there that doesn't need to be there. It all works for me.

I'm going to actually get your CD, and that will be a first for me, getting a CD based on what I've heard on a forum demo. 8)

thanks man! glad you dig it.
the rest of the album is pretty rocking as well, there are a few mellow/ballad type tunes to break it up...
a couple of head trippy tunes....
but mostly groove-based melodic rock.

that's so cool, that you want a cd....
i dropped prices on the cdbaby site, that's the cheapest place to get it.
also, for anybody that gets a disc or download, i'll send a link for a download of another tune for free....

this is my 2nd album release, the first one is out of print...

by the way, i still use mics for guitar tones almost all the time...

it just so happens, that on this particular song, i used ONLY the Palmer PDI-09 for all of the electrics.

i wanted a super dry, in your face tone...
and any room effects, were added in the mix.

other songs on the album feature either all mics, or combinations of the palmer and mic/room mic, which is my favorite way to use it:
palmer for main signal, room mic/distance mic on the amp.

that's one of the reasons i posted this particular one, to let anyone who is interested in hearing one of these devices used in an actual recording, check out what it can sound like.

happy turkey day!!

.....headin' to vegas......
could be a song in the makin'

thanks blues!

just the DI on this one, i think the best way to use the palmer,
is with a combination of a good room mic just wherever the sweet spot
of the room is

palmer gives you the stark in your face attack...
the room mic gives you that 'this is how i hear it in the room' feel
