OK, after doing further research found out that this was sort of a reissue of the Top Boosts from the 60's, so I decided to take my Les Paul down to the store that I found it at & give it a try. I've never really played around with Vox's much, & I was pleasantly surprised. The speakers were Celestian Greenbacks that were labeled "Vox" I'd say the "normal" channel was very warm & dark sounding when played clean, but the "bright channel" was pretty sweet when cranked, and seemed to break up sooner than the "normal" did. A pretty cool amp. Needless to say, I went ahead & put it on lay-a-way. I can't wait to get this home. Now I'm gonna have to get a Hot Plate to really enjoy this amp. My Boogies may get a little jealous
