Voltage Regulator for the Mark V.

Hi guys, can ye tell me if this is a suitable voltage regulator to use with the mark v; I live in an area that uses 230 volts.

As long as it provides enough current (amperage) for the head it will be fine. I'm using the LR1200 Tripp Lite for my Mark V head, and my recording desk. I run a Furman conditioner off the LR1200. Dead quiet and it does an OK job keeping my voltage stable.

Make sure it's TRUE SINE WAVE. There are a lot of inverters and modified sine wave products, not so good for audio.

I live in a 220volt country and when I ask to mesa customer service via email they said it is always better (and more secure) double the power. The Mark five 90W consumes 4A at 110V thats means that is a 440W amp, so I bought a 1KW step down transformer with a voltage regulator. It costs about 250usd here in chile.

That's a great help DZ. I'm just a guitar player my knowledge of amps goes as far as plugging it in, dialing it in, playing through it, changing tubes, plugging it in and out. Whatever witchcraft happens inside is outside my knowledge ;-)
