Does anyone know the differences between the various versions of the 295 stereo power amp? I know there are at least three variations:
1. level knobs on back, with metal toggle switches
2. level knobs on back with plastic toggle switches
3. level and presence knobs on front, with plastic toggle switches
Were there any other differences between these? I have heard that the early versions had the same transformers as the Mark IIC+.... However, it appears to me that the 295 has separate output transformers for each channel (ie. the simulclass transformers), but has only one (huge) power transformer, which could not be the same as the Mark IIC+ (105), since it is twice the size.
Any comments on differences in sound between the various versions? Also, any comparisons to the 395 power amp?
Thanks, in advance!
