using loop on recto with no effects to use output control?

Hey,

Just bought my first recto, got a triple. I'm not big on effects but was thinking of having the loop on just so i can use the output control to control the volume all 3 channels. does anyone else do this? what settings do you use for the loop?

I always have the loop on with no effect in chain.
So that I can use the function of output and SOLO.
But I used to turn the mix pot off.
