HI NEW TO THIS FORUM SO IT'S GOOD TO BE HERE!
I HAVE 2 CHANNEL DUAL RECTIFIER HEAD, NOT SURE WHAT YEAR
BOUGHT IT USED AND IT'S GOT A FEW PROBLEMS
ONE IS THE GUY THAT SOLD IT TO ME GAVE ME A FOOTSWITCH WITH IT THAT DOESN'T WORK COULD SOMEONE TELL WHAT FOOTSWITCH TO BUY? I'D LIKELY BUY THE ONE THAT CAN SWITCH AS MANY OPTIONS AS POSSIBLE IF THERE IS ONE - THE WEB SITE DOESN'T NOT LIST A FOOTSWITCH FOR 2CHANNEL DUALS, ONLY 3CHANNEL ONES
THE OTHER PROBLEM THAT'S EVEN MORE ANNOYING IS THE LOOP SWITCH ON THE BACK DOESN'T NOT WORK...IT WORKS OK IN THE FIRST POSITION (LOOP BYPASS) BUT ANYTHING PAST THAT DOESN'T NOT WORK
IT APPEARS TO BE DIRTY OR SOMETHINGS AS IT MAKES A SCRATCHY SOUND WHEN TURNING THE KNOB ALSO THE LOOP LIGHT ON THE FRONT SEEMS TO LIGHT UP AT TIMES AND NOT AT OTHERS
IT' MAY JUST NEED CONTACT CLEANER BUT IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY EVEN THAT WOULD REQUIRE A REPAIRMAN ON THESE TYPES OF HEADS

THANKS

If you have a Mesa Boogie tech in your area it's probably not a bad idea to drop it off for a good cleaning and checkup. It's usually not that expensive and they can fix any little problems, clean the pots, clean the board, check the bias, caps, tubes and generally make sure everything is in working order. It will probably pay off to have it running well and not crap out at a gig or practice.

On the footswitch call Mesa and get their suggestions (You might have to leave a message. They usually call back fairly quickly). They may be able to send you one.

HERES A LINK TO THE 2 CHANNEL RECTIFIER FOOT SWITCHES. CHANNEL FOOTSWITCH http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fcrec.html AND FX LOOP http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fclp.html
I AGREE TAKE IT IN AND HAVE A TECH CLEAN IT!
