Upgrade MK IIB?

Hello all.My first post here.

A bought a MKIIB many years ago at a pawn shop for about $340.00. I never cared for the sound or weight so I have never really used it.

It's the 1X12 combo, w/ 2 power tubes, no eq. All original. A friend is encouraging me to send it to Mesa for a $600.00 IIIC+ upgrade. Is this a good idea?

A IIB can't be upgraded to a IIC+. The amp needs the RP10 or 11 board to make this happen.
