Unknown shielding on my mv

Hi

Today i ve opened my mark v to use some spray on pots, and i find this strange Shielding.

I never see it on mv pics.

Any suggest?

My guess is that in part of the development they found an area that was picking up noise, and that was the best fix.

Start a new board layout, or add a little shielding, ? I'd like to think I'd choose a little shielding too.
