TUNG SOL TUBES

HAS ANYONE TRIED THE NEW TUNG SOL TUBES-12AX7-6L6'S? LOOKING TO RE-TUBE MY IIC+. HAVE HEARD GOOD REVIEWS. HAVE USED JJ TUBES WITH GOOD RESULTS ALSO.

i thought they were superior to the JJ. they are a rounder sounding tube.

i have not tried their 6l6 but the winged "c" 6l6s are great!

I tried a bunch of different 12ax7's in my Recto. The new Tung Sol's were the best.

Tung Sol 12AX7A for wide range, top-to-bottom tone.

JJ ECC83-S for much fuller sounding, and concentrated mid tones.

I love Tung sol 12AX7A preamp tubes in position 1 and 3 in my Rectoverb and Nomad. Position 2 on the ROV is a JAN/Phillips 12AY7. Position 2 in my Nomad is a JAN/Phillips 12AX7A.

Positions 3 and 4 in both amps are Mesa russian 2 tubes.

Nomad has GT EL84S (jj tubes) in the power section....ROV has Tungsol 5881s.
