A while ago I wanted to upgrade the tubes in my Mark V. I put thetubestore.com Premium Package on my Christmas list and my wife bought them for me.
I spoiled the suprise by eating lunch at home today and they were at the door. I was even more suprised that they didn't come with the Winger C's I thought they did. Instead, they came with Tung Sol 6L6's.
All the reviews I've read have praised the Winged C's. I emailed the store and they said they temporarily ran out and only now have winged c's in stock again. But it'll cost me to upgade.
How do these stack up to one another? is it worth the upgrade? I don't mind paying if there's good tone change.
