Tubes!!!

So, since I got my MKV, I have just used the tubes that it came with, stock all the way as it turns out.

Yesterday I started changing pre and power tubes. The powers' were the 440's, I put in some NOS 430's and maaaaaaaan, what a change, wonderful. I ended up putting in some old =C='s, just to wear them out, not as good as the 430's but, better than the 440's.

Now, the pre's. So, I take out V1, its a MB marked Russian2, whatever that means. I replaced it with a Mullard sweetness! I took out V2 and it was an spax7, V3 also :shock: is that normal?

So, I put a Tele in V2 and another Mullard in V3 4 and 5 I put in Tung Sol's. The amp sounds much better.

I got a Mullard in my V1 as well...the rest are still stock Mesa's. I have a spare Tung Sol's and a couple of crappy EHX that I should try for fun but I'm liking my tone for now, I don't wanna mess with it...hehe.

No they dont normally ship with SPAX7's in V2-3 if thats what ur asking as far as "normal".
