I bought a DC5 recently and all but two of the preamp tubes were smashed in shipping. I have to take the chassis out so I can clean up all the glass so I figure I can do the volume mod too. My question is what tubes for this thing? Mesa stock? I heard putting a 12AT7 in the first slot will open the amp up as well. What about the power tubes? Stick with Mesa stock 6L6s or go with something else? Thanks
