Any thoughts on specific tubes to put in this amp? Mine needs new power tubes so I thought I'd just replace them all and go for broke. I could just plunk a set of Mesas or JJs in there but thought I would ask if there are any "must haves" for this specific amp.
I should say that I have little experience in tube swapping other than grabbing whatever is available at the local shop. Also, no preference between 6L6s or EL34s. I just want to maintain the best high gain sounds I can (don't care about the cleans, my Mark V does them plenty well).
Sorry if this is redundant, I know there is a lot of tube talk here but the search function gave me 168 pages of results to wade through. I was trying to find info on tubes that would bring out the best in the Rev D circuit if its a possibility.
