Tube replacement in f-50s

Hey this site is great!!!

Im just curious do mesa boogie tubes for an f-50 need to be biased, I was told they didnt but our local rockshop is dodgy

All Mesas, including your F-50, are built with a hardwired fixed bias, so they never need to be rebiased. The tubes Mesa sells are selected to work within the bias range of your amp, so you can simply obtain a matched pair, swap them out (takes 30 seconds), and play. Your local shop is correct in this case. :wink:
