Hey, just a quick question relating to the tube/diode switch for the rectifiers on the back of a Dual Rec. Is it safe to switch between tube/diode rectifiers during normal operation of the amp? I ask because I have a small tube combo that has a wattage selector switch that changes between a triode and a pentode. The manual says that this wattage selector should only be changed while the amp is off. I was just curious to see if switching between the tube/diode rectifiers is anything like that. I guess I'm curious about the spongy/bold power switch as well. Basically same question with that. Can you change it while the amp is running without risk of any sort of damage to the amp? Thanks

I don't know for sure... but I when I was searching for my tone with my recto, I didn't turn it off to switch back and forth, nor did I put it on standby.

The couple extra seconds it would take to do that would make me forget what the previous tone sounded like. Ha!!

I asked this exact same question and was told it was sweet, have not got around to trying as have only had the amp for two days and when I get home baby is asleep, itching to get it out to jamroom....

FWIW, I don't turn my Triple on Standby to adjust the Rectifier Setting, or the Bold/Spongy switch. I have never had any issues.
