tube cages?

I dont think they are putting the green plastic screens on the power tubes anymore since they started putting cages around them.

Tell me about these. I've seen 'em on the heads but are they for the combos too?
Not like I wanna more weight, but I'm wondering if I didn't get one 'cause the store
forgot or 'cause mine's older.

Your amp is earlier. The cages are required for export to the EU, so for simplicity's sake, they're installed on everything. It's not just Mesa, I've seen them on Crates as well.
