hi.

I have just bought a Mesa 50/50 off ebay.

Is there a way to tell if this is the one that was re-voiced for use with the triaxis?

This is the exact one I bought.

if it isn't the one voiced for the triaxis, is there a way to change it?

thanks.

Sorry -- the answer is No.

That is the older generation 50/50. It was replaced by the 2:Fifty power amp, and a few years ago, IT was slightly revoiced to optimize it for use with the Rectifier Recording Preamp and the Triaxis.

Honestly, you're talking about very subtle differences that nobody would ever notice in your tone and say "hey, that guy's 50/50 sounds off."

I used a Triaxis for a few years with the old 50/50 and it sounded great. Later, I got a new 2:Fifty (in between I sold my Triaxis rig but missed it so much I had to get it again). I don't think I recognized any particular sonic difference, and what I MISSED from the old 50/50 that you have was the low-power switch. That option doesn't exist on the 2:Fifty, and I missed it.
