Hi Guys,

I need to replace my Tubes/Valves on my Triaxis.

Not really sure how old they are.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea.

Found this link on the web.

http://www.tubefreak.com/triaxis.htm

Now he recommends 3 x 12ax7 high gain, and 2 low gain 2 x 12AU7 or 12AT7.

Now he suggests,

V1, V2 and V4 - 12AX7 High Gain

V3 and V5 - Low Gain 12AU7 or 12AT7.

So before I spend all my money, has anyone here tired this???

Does this make a difference???

Can anyone share a similar story???

Cheers,

Gezza

2 recommendations for ya; here is the simple one.....contact doug from doug's tubes and and tell him what kind of sound you enjoy hearing and he will set you up with specific tubes for your triaxis to help you achieve that....or the other choice which will take a while longer is to search the database here and find a huge thread and several posts by a member named timbre wolf. the guy is a tube expert and he has answered this very question about retubing the triaxis in as much detail as you could ever want.
