So I just paid for half of a used Simul 2:90 at the local guitar center today. I'll pay the remainder in a few weeks. The front panel is pretty beat up. I decided to call mesa today to see what a new panel would cost.
While I was talking with him I happened to ask if he could estimate the age of my triaxis. The serial number is T0265, which I've always assumed was fairly low. He estimates it was produced in about '92, which is supported by signatures on the boards having '92 written on them.
Does anyone know what the first year the triaxis was introduced and if the serial numbers are sequential or is there some other scheme to them?
