So, last night i went to check a TA. (sn:T-67XX)
When i switched to Lead 1 Red the sound was hardly as a crunch gain.
Even with high settings of gain and lead 1 drive.
Seller tried to convinced me that this is the phat mode....
i mean, it should sound like a recto right? and if it's not exactly the same sound it should have tones of gain right.....
I know how it's a recto gain....my band mate has one......
Is this the phat mode anyway or it's a faulty one????????

I had the Phat mod on mine and the Ld1 red was VERY saturated and full of gain. Id beware of this triaxis.

It's "fat" and the fat mod was done to answer the complaints that the original Recto boards were harsh and fizzy. You know, like a Rectifier.

The fat mod was intended to do just that: fatten the sound. If you're noticing that it doesn't sound gainy and nothing like a Rectifier, then yes, you do indeed have the fat mod on your TriAxis. I would definitely say it's "faulty," but that's by design.

So, i have two opposite answers.....

Ok mates, don't get me wrong but that TA had gain like a TS9 tubescreamer at it's full gain. And this with gain at 10 and lead 1 drive also at 10......so it had much less gain from a typical recto...if this is the fat mode, then it's a bad joke.....

I have the roadster and it's gain it's from another world in terms of quantity....this TA was like to have the 4th ch (modern) of my roadster at 9-10 o'clock...so i tend to believe that it was faulty...

I don't know...all other modes was just right...is there a specific tube for just the LD1 red? i think modes shares tubes...and i've read that the LD1 red is very sensitive because is different part from the other modes and it has it's own circuit board...
