Hi Guys...im having a display problem with my v1 (S/N ~500) triaxis...there seems to be a problem illuminating one of the LED bars in the first LED module of all controls...The second LED segment of each control displays all numbers correctly however...

The numbers 1, 2, 3, 7 are correctly displayed but 0, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 are displayed incorrectly. The problem appears to be the top lefthand LED bar.

Ive taken some pics here http://members.optusnet.com.au/~beach01/Triaxis Problem

I assume this is a digital problem as the unit is otherwise functioning correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Mike.

if it was for one segment, i would say it was an LED, but to be on all of the numbers? thats wierd. maybe the wiring?? not too sure

bet for the BCD led display, it is not harmful for other elements of the triaxis, all your logical environment seems to be good, there is no reason to be afraid, even I repair my TA several times I could see one of this lcd wrong but I´m too lazy to replace it  I prefer enjoy playing the triaxis

Thanks for the replies...

im pretty sure this is just cosmetic damage... i have been getting some hum from my rack, im not too sure where its comming from...but hope its unrelated to triaxis...could be gtar pickups, excess cable, power supply, interference...i havnt yet tested enough varibles to isolate the problem yet but i will try next few days...

Is it possible to change these out??? I have a Triaxis myself and would be interested in doing this.

I had Mesa send me one and a yellow mode light.
I did the yellow light with no problems but I dont trust my
soldering skills enough to change the one LED on the display board.
There are 10 leeds to solder and are pretty close to
one another.
Anyone have any hints/tricks to getting in that close without
the solder overlapping from one leed to the other?
I have a decent low wattage soldering iron and .032 diam. solder for
smaller work.....HHHHHHEEEEEEEELP.

What kind of LED would you look for to change out the Mode light...are the mode lights all the same if one wanted to change them? i.e. Rythm, Lead One etc. and FX Loop...

Thanks
