So i got Triaxis, and its really great amp. Love lead 2 yellow and red, as well as rhythm channels. However, LD 1 RED seems very noisy. :?

Hum is so much louder than any other channel at same volume. Is this normal or i got faulty amp? I tried different tubes (tung sol, jj), so i know it should not be tubes.

Any comments on it?

Thanks!

I suggest you to use a 12AT7 or 5751 in V2, your clean will be cleaner with more headroom, and V2 is used as drive in the LD1 red channel so it will tame a little bit gain and hum.
I personnaly use a NOS Mullard 12AT7 in V2 and a RCA 5751 in V1 and there's still enough gain for metal !

So is it normal that LD1 RED has much more noise/hum than other channels at same settings?

Not in my experience, it sounds the same as the others.
Thats what i thought.. :(

It seems that V5 is faulty. When i took it out it looks weird, its clouded inside a bit. And noise on LD1 RED seems less when i replaced it with balanced tung sol and i also replaced V2 with JJ. I just dont understand why would V5 affect LD1 RED only, and not other channels...

The last thing is that LD1 RED feels like it puts a blanket over the speaker. Its slightly less clear than other channels..

It is much more compressed than the other, so seems normal to be less clear.
In my TA (V2.0 non phat) LD1 red as more hum than the other modes. Probably due to to its huge amount of gain. Try a setting with only 6.0 in gain and drive and tell me if there's still a lot of hum.
