Has anyone experienced issues with the Triaxis Lead 1 Drive? My Triaxis' Lead 1 Drive appears to be not working. No change in gain sound but the values on the front panel works. All other functions appears to be normal or working as advertised. Brand new set of tubes, all 5 of them.

Thoughts?

Faulty tube? Try swapping V1 and V4. If it fixes it and Lead Drive 2 becomes a problem, you know it's that tube.

tried the tube swap, problem did not follow!! sigh...hate to send it back to mesa.

Any other suggestions out there? In all preamp settings, lead 1 appears not to work.

If the "knob" is stuck in the min or max setting you most likely have a bad LDR. Not something you could diagnose or repair yourself, unfortunately. OTOH, quite an easy fix for a qualified technician.

sort of resigned to having the preamp fixed by a tech, after the swapping tubes didn't help, pretty much what is left to do. Just shipping to mesa via mail kind of scares me.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you don't skimp on the postage - get plenty of insurance, pack it really well, send with a good company. Put plenty of Fragile/Handle With Care stickers on it.

I just received my Mesa 2:90 from the other side of the world and six months ago my Triaxis came he same way. No problems at all with posting it.
