so i have a gmajor, i run my rig in stereo with the gmajor in the loop. any time i switch to a program with the loop enabled i can hear a drop in volume and overall loss of highs or increase in mids(cant quite describe it). basically it sounds like the when you have a week signal on a mixer and have to jack the channel volume way up to make it mix.

so since having the signal route through the gmajor seems to make my sound degrade i'm hesitant to try running he gmajor from the outputs of the triaxis.

so what are the benefits of running the gmajor off the outputs instead of the loop? or does anyone have any suggestions on maybe my level settings to fix the drop in output/coloration of tone?

You're going to want to keep the GMajor out of the loop and place it in series between the pre and power amp.

This is the recommended setup by TC Electronic. And I've tried both...and the loop method absolutley sucks.

Any Fx rack out of TA loop :wink:
Use the loop for some special or different pedals you have.

tonight i switched i over to triaxis-->gmajor-->2:90. didnt have much time to play with it, so far i'm liking the overall sound quality much more, took care of the muffled effect i was hearing. but with the current settings it is much lower volume. everything so far sounds great, but is just quiet, so i know my levels are currently safe but definately not optimal. but now i'm totally lost on my levels since i'm used to running effects in the loop.

so far here are my settings:
triaxis:
output=12oclock
master=usually aroound 5

gmajor:
input knob=12oclock
output knob=9oclock
global input level=0
global output level=-15

2:90:
both channels at 12oclock

any recommended changes would be greatly appreciated. oh, and im running this full stereo into a GenzBenz G-Flex 2x12

If I can remember TA works better with master about 6-8. It's in its manual.
I use mine on 8.

Input of gmajor must be be on a level wich doesn't clip.
Output of gmajor should be on maximum.
This way all sound pass through it. :wink:
If it isn't on maximum,you are keeping sound inside of it.
There's nothing after gmajor,only power amp so

Open the gates of tone heaven :lol:
